Overview
A Smart QR Code allows you to change where your QR Code points even after it has been printed. Instead of permanently embedding a destination into the QR Code itself, Sqanna securely redirects visitors to your chosen destination.
This means you can update websites, menus, documents, campaigns and app links at any time without replacing the printed QR Code.
Before you begin
You'll need:
- A Sqanna account
- The destination URL you want people to visit
Creating a Smart QR Code
- Sign in to your Sqanna dashboard.
- Click Create QR Code.
- Select the QR Code type you want to create.
- Enter the destination.
- Customize the appearance if desired.
- Click Create QR Code.
Your QR Code is now ready to download and print.
Updating it later
Unlike traditional QR Codes, Smart QR Codes can be updated at any time.
Simply open the QR Code from your dashboard, change the destination and save your changes. All previously printed copies will immediately begin redirecting visitors to the new destination.
Best practices
- Test your QR Code before printing large quantities.
- Use SVG when printing professionally.
- Keep your destination URL up to date.
- Give your QR Code a descriptive name so it's easy to find later.
